What this app is

Still Becoming is Christian devotional content — a daily word, Scripture, reflection, small step and prayer — written to offer spiritual encouragement to women in hard and ordinary seasons.

What this app is not

It is not medical, mental-health, psychiatric, legal, financial or crisis counseling, and it is not therapy. It does not diagnose, treat or cure anything, and it does not replace care from a licensed professional, a physician, a counselor, or a pastor or clergy member who knows you.

Never delay or stop urgent or professional care because of something you read here.

A word about faith and struggle

Doubt, depression, anxiety, illness, infertility, grief, trauma, addiction and mental-health challenges are not evidence of weak faith or a lack of prayer. Seeking help is not a spiritual failure. Sometimes the faithful next step is calling a doctor, a therapist, or someone who can sit with you.

Safety note: if someone else may be monitoring this device, your browser history, or your accounts, consider using a trusted friend's phone, a library computer, or calling from a device the other person cannot see.

Scripture and interpretation

Scripture quotations are from the World English Bible (public domain). The reflections here are one person's devotional interpretation, not the only faithful reading of a passage. You are encouraged to read each reference in your own translation and in community.
